I'm Thierry Gustin, an AI trainer, and I've lived in Madrid for over fourteen years. This page explains how my AI training for businesses works in Madrid.
Why train your team on site
On-site training makes it possible to work with the team's real documents, answer questions on the spot and practise as a group. The data points the same way: in BCG's AI at Work 2025 survey, regular AI use is markedly higher among employees who receive at least five hours of training and have access to in-person sessions and coaching.
AI in Spanish businesses, in figures
| Data point | Figure | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Spanish businesses using AI (2025) | 20.3% | Eurostat |
| Small businesses (10 to 49 employees) | 17.2% | Eurostat |
| Medium businesses (50 to 249 employees) | 30.1% | Eurostat |
| Large businesses (250 employees or more) | 57.5% | Eurostat |
| Employees who consider themselves well trained in AI | 36% | BCG, 2025 (international survey) |
The gap between large and small businesses is 40 points. For a Madrid-based SME, training the team is the fastest way to close it.

The AI Act and businesses in Spain
Article 4 of the EU AI Act requires businesses using AI systems to take measures to ensure their staff have a sufficient level of AI literacy. In Spain, the market surveillance authority for AI is AESIA. The guide Is AI training mandatory? explains what this means for your business.
