Free: to discover
The free plan gives access to chat on web, desktop and mobile, with usage limits. It allows creating up to five Projects. It does not include Claude Code or Cowork. It's perfect for trying the product, not for daily work.
Pro: the best option for most professionals
Pro multiplies the available usage, provides access to the Opus model and includes Claude Code and Claude Cowork. If you use Claude daily, it's the logical entry point. Annual billing reduces the price from 20 $ to 17 $ per month.
Max: when Pro isn't enough
Max doesn't add many new features: it mainly provides capacity, with 5x or 20x the usage of Pro, priority access and early access to new features. It's useful if you often hit limits, especially with Cowork or Claude Code.
Team: the plan designed for SMEs
Team adds a shared workspace, shareable Projects, centralized member management, single sign-on (SSO) and centralized billing. Crucially, Team is governed by commercial terms: your data is not used to train the models. It requires a minimum of two users. Premium seats offer capacity close to Max.
Enterprise: for large organizations
Enterprise adds advanced security and compliance features (automated account provisioning, audit logs, compliance API, role-based access control, customized data retention). Pricing combines a per-user fee and consumption billed at API rates.
The key point: privacy
On individual plans (Free, Pro, Max), the user chooses whether their conversations may be used to train the models. If this option is enabled, conversations may be retained for up to five years. On Team, Enterprise and the API, data is not used for training. For a company handling customer information, this point is often what tips the balance toward Team, more than price.
