What is Claude AI?
Claude is a conversational assistant developed by Anthropic, a U.S. company specialized in AI. It is used from the browser (claude.ai), a desktop app, or a mobile app. It writes, summarizes, analyzes documents, works with spreadsheets, writes code, and can act in your tools thanks to connectors.
Claude exists in several models. Haiku is the fastest. Sonnet is the versatile everyday model. Opus is the most powerful for complex work. The free plan gives access to Sonnet and Haiku, while paid plans open access to Opus.
Why train in Claude instead of improvising?
Most people use AI like an enhanced search engine. They ask a short question, get a mediocre answer, and conclude the tool is overrated. The problem is rarely the tool: it's how it's used.
Anthropic publishes its own usage data in the Anthropic Economic Index. The January 2026 report identifies more than 3,000 distinct professional tasks performed with Claude. It also notes that Claude accelerates the most complex tasks the most. In other words, the gain is in the background work, not in quick questions. But you must know how to delegate it correctly.
The 4 levels to learn Claude
Level 1: conversation and prompting. Learn to provide context, a precise task, constraints, and a response format. It's the foundation of everything, and it's where most users lose quality. (See our article How to write good prompts for Claude.)
Level 2: Projects. A Project is a workspace with its own instructions and reference documents. For example, create a Project per client, per department, or per task type, and each new conversation starts with the appropriate context. It's the feature that changes day-to-day productivity the most.
Level 3: files and tools. Claude reads PDFs, spreadsheets, and Word documents. It creates files and artifacts (documents, tables, miniapps) and connects to your tools (email, calendar, file storage, etc.) depending on your plan.
Level 4: automation. With Claude Cowork, the agentic workspace of the desktop app, Claude chains multi-step tasks over your files and can run scheduled tasks. For technical profiles, Claude Code does the same in software development.
Which plan to choose for training?
The free plan is enough to discover the tool and create up to five Projects. For regular professional use, the Pro plan (20 $ per month in the United States, with local pricing in local currency depending on the country) is the right starting point: it adds more usage, Opus, Claude Code, and Cowork. For a team, the Team plan provides shared spaces, centralized administration, and contractual guarantees about data. You can find the details in our article How much does Claude AI cost?
Training options
Self-study. Anthropic's documentation and help center are of good quality, and daily practice is irreplaceable. It's the cheapest route, but also the slowest, with a real risk of remaining at level 1.
Online training. Video modules let you progress at your own pace. It's effective for the basics and for review.
Corporate training. It's the most cost-effective formula for a team. The trainer starts from your real documents and tasks, configures Projects with you, and establishes common usage rules (confidentiality, human validation, shared templates). In Spain, this type of training can be subsidized through the company's FUNDAE credit.
A 4-week training plan
- Week 1: the basics of prompting, redoing 10 real tasks from your role with Claude.
- Week 2: creating 2 or 3 Projects with instructions and reference documents.
- Week 3: working with files (summaries, tables, documents) and connecting a first tool.
- Week 4: a first automation and measuring the time saved.
Mistakes to avoid
- Prompts that are too short, without context.
- Accepting the first answer without requesting improvements.
- Entering confidential data on a consumer plan without checking privacy settings.
- Not centralizing good prompts: everyone reinvents the wheel.
- Forgetting human review for anything that commits the company.

Does Claude speak Spanish and French?
Yes. It works fluently in Spanish, French, and many other languages.
Can the training be subsidized?
Yes, in Spain through the company's FUNDAE credit.
